The Summer Book club provides an opportunity for the women of Sierra Vista First Baptist to "be on the same page" during the summer without committing to weekly meetings or intensive studies. We simply select two Christian Books each summer -- one fiction and one nonfiction -- for women to read on their own and at their own pace. Women also secure their books on their own. Then we gather on Saturday morning, August 24, at 9 am to share breakfast and discuss the two book selections.
If you would like to participate, simply register for the brunch so you will receive reminder notices about it in August. Then secure one or both of the books. Check local bookstores, the city library and your favorite online retailers for the selections. You might be able to download them onto your electronic reading device as well. Then start reading! We'll contact you in August to confirm your reservation for the brunch and enlist your help in providing the meal.
